Building a capsule wardrobe in warm weather
Kiki's Mall Editorial · 2 June 2026 · 6 min read
A capsule wardrobe is not about owning less for its own sake — it is about owning pieces that work harder together. Start with breathable fabrics: linen, cotton, and lightweight blends that hold their shape after a long day.
Anchor colours make mixing easier. Ivory, sand, charcoal, and deep olive create a palette that feels cohesive without looking uniform. Add one accent — rust, cobalt, or emerald — for personality.
Invest in fit before quantity. A well-tailored dress or trouser in a classic cut will outperform three mediocre alternatives. When shopping online, use sizing notes and measurement charts; do not guess.
Footwear completes the capsule. One polished flat, one versatile sneaker, and one dressier option cover most occasions. Rotate shoes to extend their life and let them air out between wears.
